The South San Joaquin Irrigation District is seeking applicants interested in serving as the Director for Division 2 on its Board of Directors. Interested applicants must own property and be a registered voter within the boundary of the District. Applicants must also reside within the boundary of the District’s Division 2. Eligible applicants must be available to consistently attend regular meetings of the Board (generally held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month from 9 a.m. – Noon at the South San Joaquin Irrigation District’s Office in Manteca), as well as special, committee, and other meetings as needed. Candidates must also be available to attend regular meetings of the Tri-Dam Project and Tri-Dam Authority held the third Thursday of each month (alternating between the SSJID office in Manteca, and the office of the Oakdale Irrigation District) and special, committee, and other meetings as needed. The average time commitment required for a Director frequently exceeds 15 hours per month. The person appointed will serve from the date of appointment until December of 2022. Interviews will tentatively be scheduled August (3—9 ). It is expected that the Board will appoint a candidate at its regular meeting on August 10, 2021.
